Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Vacantia ("we", "us") operates vacantia.mx, a job vacancy aggregator for Mexico. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it, in line with Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).
What we collect
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, and message content.
- Employer accounts: name, email, password (hashed), company name, and company RFC (tax ID), used to verify and distinguish employers posting vacancies.
- Outbound click logs: when you click "Apply" on a vacancy, we log a hashed version of your IP address and your browser's user agent, tied to the vacancy and source — used to measure vacancy performance and, in the future, to support paid placement features. We do not store your raw IP address.
- Resumes: if you choose to build one or more resumes to apply for vacancies posted directly on Vacantia — specialization, summary, skills, work experience, and education — that information is stored privately and is only visible to you and the employer(s) you apply to with it, never publicly or to other employers. You can edit or delete any resume at any time.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal data to third parties. We don't run third-party advertising trackers on the site today.
Vacancy content
Most vacancies on this site are aggregated from public job postings on other platforms (company career pages, job boards, applicant tracking systems). We link back to the original source wherever possible; applying to a job takes you to that source's own site, which has its own privacy practices.
Your rights (ARCO)
Under Mexican law you have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Oppose (ARCO) the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form with your request and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.
Data retention
We keep account and contact-message data for as long as your account is active or as needed to respond to your request, resumes for as long as you keep them in your account (you can delete them anytime), and outbound click logs for a limited operational period before aggregating or discarding them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
